Los Angeles, California, USA, February 28, 2010:

To elevate Bangladeshi cultural and economic heritage in America, FOBANA, Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America, is hosting its 24th annual conference hosted by Bangladesh Performing Arts Academy, Los Angeles on July 2, 3, & 4, 2010 in Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena, California, USA.


FOBANA® is a non-profit and non-political social organization where the Bangladeshis in North America get together to celebrate and introduce their vibrant culture to this multicultural country. Since its inception in 1987, FOBANA® has been working tirelessly in this land far away from our ancestral homeland to keep our indigenous culture and commence alive in our next generation growing in abroad. FOBANA® is a symbol of our hope and aspiration, and it is a unifying force for bringing our communities together for moving forward.


On this occasion, BANGLADESH-US TRADE MISSION, a feature program of FOBANA 2010, Los Angeles, collaborated by US and Bangladeshi business organizations, is introducing its first trade mission. The program offers three days seminars, workshops, & expo for business opportunities, market trend and networking with local companies & market. We invite Bangladeshi business owners and entrepreneurs to join the mission to know how to do business with America.


An important press conference is going to be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the VIP Lounge, Dhaka Press Club, and following the conference, the Trade Mission organizing team is offering an introductory seminar at 4 PM on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Dhaka Purbani Hotel. The prospective traders are requested to attend this informative seminar to learn more about the mission in order to successfully join this prospect including the US visa proceedings.
Concurrently with the Trade Mission, focusing on the theme “Future Generation is the torch bearer of the true freedom”, FOBANA 2010 Los Angeles is producing a 3-day convention enriched in live performances on the social-cultural heritage of Bangladesh.

A huge crowd of the expatriates, high ranking government administrative officials and numerous artistes, intellectuals, community and business leaders and entrepreneurs from USA, Bangladesh, and India will participate in this event. FOBANA 2010 is principally organized by Dr. Kali Pradip Chauduri as Chancellor, Dr. M. Sirajullah as Chairman, Zahid Hossain as Convener, Tawfiq S Khan as Member Secretary, and Mohammed Nazmul Hassan Masud as the chief coordinator of the organizing committee leading administrators.
